Would you/have you introduced a fwb to other vanilla friends/family?

No. I have 2 longterm fwb and we have been enjoying each others time for over 6 years now.

My nilla mates/fam wouldn't get my poly lifestyle as they are 100% mono

No.

My family are so very old fashioned, and would never understand such practices that are indulged here.

As for friends, even easier to say no, as I don’t have any real friends that I’d confide something like this to.

My sex life is something I wouldn’t discuss with any of them even if they were cool and open minded enough to understand.

My eldest daughter (who’s 19) boyfriend’s friend put me on fab. Don’t know if she knows about it might just think it’s a dating app as she has put me on tinder etc. ( this is far more enjoyable). But none of my friends know only people I have met on here which I feel are friends in more ways than one 😜

The introduction was more along the lines of bumping into her while out with the family. I'm known to chat with many people so was no surprise that I knew her locally and we casually chatted away.

"FWB - Would you/have you introduced a fwb to other vanilla friends/family? "

I started to tell my friends about my FWB/BF situation and it didn't go down well, so I backtracked pretty quickly and never talked about him again, which is a shame because I'm sure they'd love to hear about him he's my secret now

I have...and would. For me a FWB is not just someone I have sex with, and if I choose someone as a FWB - that means I trust them enough to introduce them to friends and family... they are what I like to call a "special friend"

Probably not family but friends i might.... although I'm very open with my friends and family with what I get up to/fab life, I'm actually quite reserved to let you into my family circle, my partner hasn't even met my family yet and we've been seeing eachother just over a year but a relationship about 8 months, he is meeting some in a couple weeks at a family wedding, I'm excited and maybe a smidge nervous ha ha.... but they will love him just as much as I do I'm sure....

I haven't done, but that's only because my friends groups and my family generally don't mix anyway. In the extremely unlikely event a FWB and I bumped into anyone in my vanilla social circle, I'd simply introduce them as a friend. No need for any further information.

This is actually one of my internal questions I ask myself before I make plans with anyone.

'Would I be comfortable if they met someone/anyone from my life?'

If it's a no, if I'm not proud to be with them openly? Well then I know they're not right for me and clearly I'm thinking with the tiny brain and need to calm my libido down a bit and move on.

Unfortunately my family wouldn't understand, I'm already the black sheep of the family when I left their religion.

I've no qualms about it, I just know that some of them are too uptight about sexual matters. Ultimately I wouldn't want to be denied access to my family.

No, I don't think I would. I pretty much keep this part of my life separate to real life and would find it awkward to explain how we met. And even if I didn't keep it separate, my friend groups never really mix anyway so the situation wouldn't really come up.
