Frozen pipes

A world of my own

The pipe that runs from my bathroom sink has frozen outside and so I can't use the wash basin water won't go down, bloody nusience it is. Running hot water no good as it has no where to go, it needs to travel approx 10ft to get to the frozen bit. Any ideas what I can do, might be a while before it thaws by itself. I don't have a ladder big enough for me to climb up

i would say get as much water out as you can the pour neat screen was down as that should melt it

Getting the water out should be easy with a syphon pump from a car parts shop

I have a very long ladder ya can use if you can get it picked up cos we cant get off drive for snow unfortunatly

Check your insurance policies, some cover for situations like yours, (although I'm not saying ours does)some prefer to tackle a minor issue before it turns into a major one, just an idea

I work overseas, ill take your pipes there and thaw them for you...i'll be back in a month, and still be quicker than the gas fitter and plumber...lol

try heating the pipe with a hairdryer or a hot air paint stripper, careful if it's plastic piping though!
