I don't think people realise just how much men can be insecure about how they look too. I've often thought oh I'm not good enough and had negative thoughts from time to time. Thankfully like you I've learned to take it easy and love myself more.

The self confidence is low, the comparison rate against others is high.

Not just for me but for men in general I feel like there's a lot of societal pressure to be the tallest or most ripped or have the biggest appendage or the broadest back or the strongest shoulders, etc, etc, you get my drift.

I'm learning to accept who I am but I'd be lying if I said it was an easy mindset to get into.

Until I feel comfortable within myself and realise my own value (whatever that may be) there's always bravado and banter to hide behind and that keeps me on an even keel while I journey through self-discovery.

It really depends what the person asking about. If they value athleticism and consider larger ladies “lower value” then yes I’m punching, and I’ve had some pretty rotten messages telling me so.

However I’ve also had many more that tell us how lucky he is, and how lucky we both are.

I’d say for many reasons - someone else’s opinion doesn’t fucking matter so long as the people who are meeting are happy.
