Post Divorce and find myself starting to look to date again. How would you approach the subject of enjoying the life style? Early on? Later on?

Any and all dating advice gratefully accepted

Personally think you need to do it early, particularly if not being in the lifestyle is a deal breaker for you. If you get invested in the relationship, and then discover you have different wants/needs then it's going to hurt more.

We talked about it early, and our 4th date was actually a big organised social

If god forbid I was dating I would want a cards on the table discussion (if it looked like being more than a casual thing) on the second or third date. I'd want to cover things like what temperature the house should be, pets or no pets, sex etc.

I don't have time to find out in a year that he likes a cold house and wants a pet giraffe.

How the ffkk should we know?

No two people are the same, and no two relationships are the same.

Instead of asking people who have zero context on your situation for advice, why don’t you ask yourself for advice?

How did you bring up your lifestyle interests to the person you once were married to?

At the start, from the off you tell them. No ifs ands or buts, tell anyone you plan to date early on.

In fact you should have it on your dating profiles should you have any.

I don’t think is unreasonable to be clear from the start stating what you want post divorce allows everyone to be open and honest

I'd say on your first date, drop your keks and do the "helicopter" whilst saying "I'm a swinger baby, yeah"!

If she stays after that she's a keeper.

Good luck.

These are important questions you need to answer honestly for yourself.

1. Why do you want to date ?

2. What does dating mean to you ?

3. Why do you want someone to date if you are part of this lifestyle ?

4. Are you looking for a swinging partner and not a woman for a relationship ?

5. Why don't you just find a partner from a swinging site and save yourself the explanation of your life style ?

To answer your question ...... You should be open and honest from the off. Rather than 'trap' someone and then hurt them or have them agree reluctantly later on in the 'dating'

Carlisle usually

At the very beginning.

Don't wait until someone is already invested or feels obligated to give it a try because they already care about the person you presented yourself as.

Up front and honest 💜

Based on what I read I agree. It all seems so complicated

I'm up front and direct about what I'm looking for and what my expectations are about dating before even agreeing to go on a date. There's no excuse not to do that. It's bastard annoying when you go on a date or more with someone only to find out you're on completely a completely different script let alone the pages!!

Do people go on dates just to enjoy an outing any more or is it always quite a serious thing?
