Chuck it in the fuck it bucket

Deepest darkest Peru

This is one of my favourite sayings when it’s time to move on or to let go of something that’s not bringing you peace or affecting you negatively it doesn’t even have to be something serious it could be a trivial thing

When I started my sick leave my colleagues actually got me a bucket with those words on

So what would you chuck in the fuck it bucket?

Today I’m throwing in fake friends, my ex hubby and the bloody rain!!

Come and fill my bucket ( not a euphemism)

and get rid of all the negative shit in your life that’s not worth worrying about

Goldfish memory issues: People who wander off and return as if we last spoke just an hour ago.

I have a very short attention/ enthusiasm span. As the momentum of a chat cools so does my interest 🤷🏼‍♀️ I thought that was normal.

I even post a handy dandy tip on my profile 😂 and folk still act surprised when I say cheerio

This reminds me a bit of my aunt. She was a no nonsense kind of woman.

One afternoon while gardening a man canvassing on behalf of the National Front called and offered her a leaflet. Ever mindful of her manners she smiled sweetly and told him her hands were dirty would he mind 'putting it over there' and pointed to the dustbin .

There’s not much in my life to throw in it in all honesty…

Just the fact that I might be facing a payment of c. £5000 for a full electrical re-installation at my brother’s house. That my parents left him. Plus arrears of missed council tax payments. I feel sick whenever the thought comes to my mind- every 30 seconds or so.

So yeah, I’ll chuck that im the fuck it 🪣 bucket

Why are you responsible for your brother's house?

The council should give you the opportunity for a payment plan that would make the council tax arrears easier to deal with assuming they're your responsibility

Good question. Everyone asks me that.

My brother is somewhat vulnerable. Depression, etc. no welfare system where he lives/we are from, so I support him financially since my parents died. I don’t have to, but … I do. I feel I have to. The toxicity of a Latin American upbringing I suppose.

Ah I get it. I'm sorry I didn't mean to pry.

I have Spanish relatives and have witnessed this first hand, to the extent that a fully fit, physically able adult man was living in a woman relatives flat, she was giving him €100 a month and he complained that it wasn't enough. It would be laughable if it wasn't tragic.

Guys who stop talking to you for weeks, and then say hi out of the blue expecting to just carry on chatting like before - as if they got bored with you but then decided you'll do to chat with when they're bored

Guys who moan they're not getting any fun, and then ask what you're up to and do you fancy meeting - as if you're their last resort and they think you'll happily meet up with them

Guys who say they want to meet but say they don't have the time, and then you see they have put a 'meet up now' event on - they're obviously not that interested but like to make out they are

I would have said put 'guys' in the bucket but not all guys are bad, it's just some of them hahaha

Here, There & Everywhere

I was umming and ahhing whether or not to post, but seeing as Cookie has kindly created this safe place for us all to share our negative shit then... I'd like to throw ME in please.

Well, not all of me...just the bits that aren't working properly at the moment, which would be my bone marrow and lymph nodes. For the past 18 months they have been producing too many neutrophils and lymphocytes (white blood cells). When my GP retired last year, the incoming GP was concerned no one had picked-up on my elevated blood results (I've been having FBC's every 6 months since having sepsis in 2019, and melanoma '22).

She contacted the haematologist I was treated by previously. They've said I need a JAK2 mutation test, by way of a bone marrow aspiration, to find out what's going on. I'm now just waiting for a date to go in. I'm not too worried about the procedure. Pain-wise they say it's about the same as when I had the epidural for my son's caesarean, so...hey ho 🤷‍♀️ Sorry for rambling x
