Newby looking for advice

I am very new to the site and have not got a clue. I am asking for a bit of advice. I was on here for a bit then stopped because all I was getting was older gay men sending me dick pics saying how about it. Nothing against the lgbt community but unsolicited it put me off. Not what I wanted tbh I have given it another go but need a bit of guidance and would like to make the most of the site I'm sorry to be a pain but any help would be amazing thank you in advance I have hidden my profile until I know how to conduct myself properly any help would be very very helpful.G

If you're not looking for men then all you need to do is to use your message filters and block single M from messaging you

You could block anyone from messaging. Then do your own searching and take the initiative to message those you’re interested in.

One think I learnt many years ago when I joined you don't get meets straight away . For me it was weeks maybe months before I met anyone . Enjoy the site chat in forums get involved and don't be pushy . Get to know people and don't be a dick . As I have returned in a new profile I am starting all over again so as per above I suppose .

Clubs are good to go even if you don't play and go as a social event . Clubs can be found on here so hopefully one close to your area

Age doesn't matter i am straight I can appreciate the compliment but the reason I joined is to meet nice people in a friendly and open group. On top of that I've got some good stories and love a bit of fun (later. After is a comleatley6 different thing)

You haven’t asked for profile advice on your own profile I’ll stick to generic.

The guys who seem to do best put a lot of effort into their profile. Nice photos, a fully filled out public gallery of clothed and tasteful nudes. Their bios are well written, full and whole every one is different for their own personalities they are much more than one or two lines.

Get out to the organised socials - they’re non play events, usually in a public space to have a drink and get to know people. They can be good fun, lots of cheeky banter and a great way to make new connections.

Check your message filters. You can exclude people out of your age range, out of your preferred genders and block unverified or new people. This will help control some of the fakes.

If you do find a fake profile, report and block so admin can deal with it

I think the fact you want to get to know people and be part of a community is a big plus in your favour. Most guys join and think it’s like being a kid with deep pockets in the world’s best sweet shop. It most definitely isn’t .

As Wigan1974 said, forums are a good way to get known as a decent person. That’s way more important than messaging, I feel. Enjoy chatting about all-sorts and have no expectations.

South Wales has a very good social scene too, so I’d consider getting along to some. I don’t really go now, but I used to a fair bit You’ll be far from the only single bloke at them, but it’s possible to make nice connections.

I do think you need to relax regarding men messaging. Block men and delete any that come from couples. It’s not that common to get the latter in my experience. If they do that, they will sometimes get a positive response from someone. Can’t blame people for using a method that works .
