near you

On Fab, profile pics are very revealing and we see everyone’s wobbly bits.

On tinder etc, we see people dressed up, make up on, faces in the frame and looking their best.

Do we need to change our expectations for attraction on Fab?

For a start... the 2 sites are completely different.

One of the best things anyone on here could have are zero expectations.

I think I am not as picky as faces on fab. It’s hard to be given you usually get to like someone before seeing it. On dating apps I’m way more fussy about faces.

Tbf you don't see my wobbly bits and I have many!

The less is more approach works well for me.

I'm way more impressed by a really nice message than revealing pictures.

Revealing pictures are all well and good but if the guys are flaky or just interested in getting off on you then it's meaningless anyway.

I'm way more likely to see a guy because he's funny or gets my humour and personality than if he has great abs.

Agreed different platforms for sure

Dating sites is about an attractiveness from all your face pics and how you are fully dressed, hobbies and interests

Here is more like fun side of sex, like naked attraction the to show, you can see what your getting to point and what sexual desires people want or have

If you are looking for romance or a date date this I say isn’t the place

Have fun 🤩

In some ways, I find it easier on here to manage expectations about what I will look like when I'm naked. Yes I'm fat, here's me in my lingerie, this is what you're gonna get. It's all upfront.

I always worry with dating apps, and a lot of men on them being very superficial, that people match with me without realising I'm fat and then changing their mind. It does happen so I try and include full length body photos when I can (obviously not quite as risqué as I have on here). It's less awkward then having them go quiet when you send one after chatting a while

Generally people still post the most flattering photos they can on here.

Angles.

Lighting.

Only showing certain body parts and not a full complete body shot. Sometimes you feel you're looking at a jigsaw puzzle.

Sucking in stomachs, stretching or standing on tip toes.

And don't get me started on bloody Snapchat filters......

Nobody has to show faces on here unlike most dating apps. And even when they choose to, few will post a badly angled selfie.

It's always a nice surprise when someone does actually look like their photos when you meet them. 🤷‍♂️

It would be likely to want different qualitative for a Long term romantic partner versus an NSA one.

It's worth experimenting with both, to see what works for you
