We've got a long drive ahead of us and eye spy is only going to cut it for about 3 minutes.

Any suggestions of fun driving games I can irritate Mr Moon with for a few hours?

Off of the top of my head:

1) counting signs and placing bets on stuff like "how many of this specific sign do you think we'll see in the next X?"

2) shiritori

3) sing together in the car

if you want to go the spicy route, there's plenty there as well

Decide on a car colour.

Win a point by seeing that colour car first and shouting out the colour before the other person(s)

First to 20 or 50… or 200

However if you see a Highways Traffic Officer vehicle and shout out ‘Traffic Officer’ first then everyone else’s points go to zero and they have to start again.

Alternatively, fingering / handjobs

Variation on the car colour game, look out for farm animal of a particular type. E.g. horses, cows etc.

Choose a particular animal. First to spot 3 of the selected type wins. A field full of said animal only counts as one.

If you’re on A and B roads, pub cricket is the best one…but no good for motorways, and getting harder as pubs close for good. If there’s a pub on your side of the road, you score one “run” for each leg on the sign, so a White Horse could be 4, but might be 0 if there’s only a head pictured
