When you're sleepy on the sofa, it doesn't cross over to sleepy in bed?

When you want a lie in you end up waking up early....but when you can't lie in you could sleep for so much longer when that annoying alarm goes off!!

"When you're sleepy on the sofa, it doesn't cross over to sleepy in bed? "

This is so me. So very me.

In my case it's because there are so many things to do between getting off the sofa and getting into bed: turning off the lights, putting the dishwasher on for the night, grabbing a bottle of water to take upstairs, locking the front door before making my way upstairs, going for a sit-down wee , pottering around the bedroom before falling into bed and then...counting sheep... 🐑🐏🐑🐏

I'm still on the sofa and very much patching in and out, I know I have to work tomorrow and if I get to bed that will be comfortable, the sofa I can get off at 7 because it's not long enough and I'll need to stretch. Strange logic I know but I'm with Nero, if I actually go to bed I'll wonder if everything is done. If a lay here (ahh shit snow patrol earworm). I can pretend it wasn't intentional and get round some obsessive behaviours.

It's a strange world.

.

I can fall asleep in a chair,

But when in bed I can't fall asleep unless I'm on my front.

That why I go up and brush my teeth with my eyes half closed so I don't lose the sleep. Modern problems require modern solutions!

I can then read in bed and my eyes will be closing on me. Put the book down and wide awake for hours 🤷‍♀️
