couple, us we him her.

Getting some roofing work done soon, they have asked for access to the house incase they need to get into the loft.

But we'll both be at work after reading some of the frankly disturbing thread's on here over the years slightly concerned about our personal stuff.

What are people's opinions on this, are you trusting of your building builder's??

FYI just to add some insight I'm actually in the trade myself and wouldn't trust the guys I work with as far as I could throw them!

an abstract world

I wouldn't do it if it was me.

Unless it was a friend who I'd known for years I will always make sure I'm home or someone I know can be there if a situation like this arises.

Perverseness aside, I just don't want a stranger cutting about my house when I'm not there.

Yeah I'm the same 40 years and respect the property but I know what people are like these days.

I wouldn’t use a contractor I don’t trust so would be happy giving them access. How about use of toilet?

Have a day off, or get a family member to sit in.

Is it normal for a roofer to need access to your loft?
