I haven't been meeting for a while but I have never sent a message first. That sounds big headed and it really isn't meant to be but the ratio of men to women on here means women are often overwelmed with messages and choice

I’ve not been meeting others for a while but when I was I didn’t make the first move very often. Usually I’d filter through the messages I had, as there’s security in knowing there’s already a smidgen of mutual attraction… however the last guy I approached first I’m still seeing now

That’s not big headed, that sounds totally plausible. If you’re a woman, even if you’re not looking for men, you will get messaged by plenty unless you block them. I can imagine a woman would message a single man first if they fit certain specific criteria the woman was looking for, but otherwise there’s going to be a constant stream of options haha. Lucky ladies

The last time I messaged a man first would be about two/three days ago. I really enjoy his posts so thought I'd say so.

I've never looked for anyone for sex/meeting up. I'm happy to message someone if I'm interested in them. Continue it if they don't get upset I'm not replying to them hourly.

I don't send messages out regularly, but if I do, it's usually regarding their forum post(s), not with the view of meeting with them. Saying that, I messaged my now partner first and we have been together for nearly 7 years.
