That tonsillitis as an adult was so much worse than as a child. I am still in hospital and not going anywhere fast!

Yes it affects you so much more as you get older. My two eldest have had theirs removed, my 15 year old has just been referred to a specialist after having it over 10 times already this year.

If I can have them removed I will do. I'm really not good, on 2 types of antibiotics intravenously

Its much more dangerous to remove them, hence I refused. Hope you feel better soon x

I had mine out a few years ago and have had no problems since.

And since you should be already dealing with an ENT consultant you should be able to avoid some of the waiting if he refers you.
