Why do people have to be so horrible in responses?

Can send an opening message to someone and they respond with the most arsey responses, I been called ugly a few times on this site which is absolutely not true. And then there is those who will just press block when you say hello. If I went up to someone in person and said hello they woulden't be so rude so why online is any different?! I have had men speaking to me in bars that I am not interested in I dunt get rude and insult them, I am polite abart it. No excusees for lack of mannors and respect.

It's something you just have to learn to suck up just the same as the women getting abuse for ignoring messages. You have to put up with a skipful of shit to end up with a cup full of decent friends.

Well I would definitely love to be a woman on this site, as they seem to get "hundreds" of messages per day (according to the website's official information). Makes me want to become trans lol. Us males can't seem to win, same with most things in life. xx

Tonypandy.

There are a myriad of reasons why people responded the way they do. Unlike speaking to someone in a bar, whom I'm assuming would be a complete stranger, many people here have detailed profiles, specifying interests and limits. As such, random approaches online might be interpreted as someone choosing to ignore preferences.

Also, people often speak to strangers here in a way they would never dream of in person.

Certainly not saying that applies to every online approach, but certainly happens.

It comes with the territory entitled men, thousands of us hitting on women over and over.

You need a thick skin and the ability to shrug and move on.

It's not ideal, just reality

There's no justification for being insulting, when respectful contact has been made! But luckily you can see they're trash and wouldn't want anything to do with them.

No response and blocking is standard here and to be expected, as it prevents future contact with people who aren't mutually compatible.

I constantly see men talking on the forums about this sort of thing, as a woman who, yes, gets inundated with messages, I certainly wouldn’t be rude to people. I may not get through all my messages and I may not feel a connection or attraction to someone who has messaged but I don’t get it when women are apparently being so rude as a response. And you’re absolutely right about if it happened face to face half those women may never actually say those insults to the man/persons face. I can’t imagine what it’s doing to the recipients confidence tbh.

I agree that people shouldn't insult you for what you look like, but the vast majority of messages we get are dreadful and it would be very entitled to expect a polite response. Decent messages get a respectful reply from us but that's a rare occurrence.

Yes, it's not good for male self esteem and why male suicides is so high. We get told not to show emoitens and to "man up" then when we do, we get called pusseholes, lol. x

You can report any abuse you get in messages OP. Also you can block women from messaging you in your message filters.

Blocking isn't rude, its just people managing their profiles how they wish.

Sadly ignorance is symptomatic with the uk’s decline as a caring empathetic nation made much worse by generations of I want, I scream, I get youngsters who suddenly find they can’t get what they think they want all the time in the real world.

The anonymity and lack of accountability on the internet, in particular the irresponsibility of the nasty minded greedy people that control what has become anti social media makes it worse and that shows no sign of abating.

How people can be so insecure that they need to follow the mentally disturbed morons who initiate such hatred make me despair over the future for humanity.

How can anyone hate women? Women are (mostly) wonderful people with so much to offer the world -and without a woman, woman haters would not even be here.

This country has a great future behind it and I don’t see anyone capable of changing that.

And on that cheerful note - have a good life everyone and be kind to each other - and best of all - that is free and costs nothing.

I've learned from a man perspective dating and communicating with the other sex is like a job interview, with a second, third and up to a tenth round. While for woman it's like (online) shopping. On the other hand, it seems that people are getting more and more polarized society, but thankfully there are more people who are just say hello, even if we aren't match.

I don't get hundreds of messages a day, far from it. But I'd say at least 75% of the messages I do get aren't worth replying to.

Believe me it's quality over quantity in regards to messages. If a guy can only type 1 or 2 words then its an automatic delete.

Yes unnecessary and no need to behave like this. Absolutely totally fine to say not for you as not what you like. Also some are overwhelmed so can understand no reply. If do reply it’s easy as can just say thank you for offer but not for me. Just either be nice but not unkind. Think of others

I think you are on the wrong site after reading your profile.

You should be on fabguys if you really don't want females.

Females won't bother you if you simply stated men only.

A few spelling mistakes and shouting words won't help. ( Perhaps you speak other languages?)

Just be calm and nice and you'll find there is something for everyone

Good luck

Unfortunately when civil responses are given they are often met with “why, what’s wrong with me”, or worse. I’ve had 2 couples profile on here, many years ago and the tirade of abuse from simple ‘not our type’ or ‘not what we’re looking for’ became laborious to say the least. When that kind of response is added to the large number of messages the whole thing can become a chore, so really do understand no response means no and a blocking reaffirms it.

Will never understand why anyone would take the time to respond and be insulting or rude though. Those people are definitely billets dodged. (Hasn’t happened yet!)

I agree, we’ve very rarely had negative interactions on here.

I also agree regarding the profile.

When we receive messages, I often check the persons profile and regardless of how nice the message may have been, if the profile doesn’t come across the same way then it puts me off.
