I was looking for some advice… I recently met up with a guy and we watched porn together, he was wanking his cock as we watched… I asked to wank him too .. which I did for about 30 seconds… that is all that happened. Is it safe or could I catch anything ? Sorry to ask but this was my first meet and I’m a total novice at all this ….

If you sit next to someone you can catch a cold, like you could on a bus. Nothing is totally safe.

Standard advice is use protection. Always wear a glove!

Probably fairly safe op. Did you have any cuts or grazes on your hands? The only risk I can think of is if you got semen on your hands and transferred it elsewhere but I imagine that's highly unlikely .

For an ‘inclusive’ site this place can be awful sometimes. The replies to this, apart from the mod, are so unnecessary.

Op like has been said, it’s highly unlikely. He would have to have an STI or something in the first place and then only if you had a cut hand.

Standard handjob procedure is to eat the slop afterwards so you don’t accidentally get pregnant (this is not gender specific).

Mine was a genuine response. You can catch a lot of things eg chicken pox by sitting close to someone

Agreed.

Imagine asking about something you're worried about and having the mickey taken.

Oh well on to the next 'mens mental health' thread ,

I think the ‘men’s mental health’ thing is completely unfair.

Nobody was mean, people made jokes. Which is allowed and happens to us all.

"Standard advice is use protection. Always wear a glove!"

To be fair those black rubber/ PVC gloves covered in lube look great around a cock!

You will be fine OP! It’s highly unlikely you would have caught anything unless as others say you had an cuts or you touched yourself before washing them etc

Most people here test themselves far more than the UK average. Not everything is tested for. It's a good idea to inform and educate yourself, so that you are protecting yourself and others.

You had a generally much safer form of sexual contact. As others state, your skin will be a barrier against infections for most diseases, unless you have broken skin

Seems like you are very conflicted and inexperienced OP. I think you should go to the nearest sexual health clinic and have a chat with their nurse ( it might be a male or female nurse)

I don't know if your worry is more about your bi experience or what your girlfriend will think if she found out. You probably haven't thought this through but I would suggest you process this in the future. We have to be RISK AWARE in this lifestyle as things can go wrong and we are at our most vulnerable when it comes to sex and your bodies.

"Surely this is a wind up? "

Op said he was a novice in a sexless relationship.

He doesn't know much about sexual interactions or he's forgotten in 50 years.

I'm meeting married people in their 30s and 60s who have never used a vibrator.

Finding out that people have a very limited view and experience of sex, intimacy, connection and sex education.

Fun and games me finding out new stuff cropping up every year with my vagina due to perimenopause. It's decided it doesn't like the period products that I have used for the last 30 years. Headache to find and adapt to new ones.

Hugs.

Men need a safe place to talk about stress and worries where people won't make jokes. Public forums, Fab and social media are not safe spaces.

Psychotherapists, support groups and men's circles are safe places.

This is what I do as a spiritual neurodivergent political plus-size black woman.

So I can handle when people on Fab and social media take the piss out of me...as I know they will.

Oh wait I don't go to men's circles..I go to women-only spaces sometimes.

Take no notice of the piss takers op. What you did was probably very safe unless you had cuts.

My advice would be as someone suggested go to a sexual health clinic for a chat, they will have seen all ages and problems, so dont be embarrassed but it will put your mind at ease if you want to take things further in the future
