Was recommended a film series (The Tudors) recently by a faerie girly friend, and it's been a real fascinating and interesting watch so far

If it wasn't for the wars and awful healthcare in the middle ages, I deffo would have loved to have lived back then

So I'm curious, what film series have you all watched in the past or been watching recently that's captivated your focus and intrigue?

The 'Saw' series. Hubby calls it torture-porn, but I like the twisting (convoluted) potting and the whole 'game' element to it.

They really should have stopped after the "final" one, but they had to go and blow it with Chris Rock in that bloody Spiral one.

Recently with maybe the final film in the series being released, Mission Impossible. A series as old as myself but will probably hold up long into the future!

What I've seen in the past - the Bourne series (excluding Legacy, haven't seen that). I've watched the whole series more than once which is quite rare for me.

Legacy is surprisingly decent, but it pushes things a little too far with the Jurassic Park Lysine Contingency thingy. Essentially, it says that the Treadstone agents are kept on a lead through needing a certain chemical to survive.

I feel like Bourne is one of those series where the less lore explanation there is, the better the concept works. There's still plenty of stuff to enjoy with the action / thriller elements, I dug out this video I'd seen some time ago which explains how Identity would work better as a single character POV film and I tend to agree: https://youtu.be/RdcSFsQRsnc
