We all know the thrill of swinging and nervous anticipation involved in the first meeting. But I am curious about what extreme sports people have taken part in.

Mine was Sidecar Racing in the 80s. one inch off the ground doing 165 mph on a platform not much bigger that a Tea tray and hang out by your balls for the corners. A very misunderstood sport.

I can only assume it was your massive Cojones keeping the sidecar flat through turns! 😳

Given your username, I assume you're still gripping and ripping V4 Hondas? 800 or 1200 though?

your right there its a Honda VFR 800 I ride on the road.

A bad accident in 86 brought the best three years of my life to an end, when my best mate the driver was lost and I suffered a blood clot on the brain

(now recovered)

Like myself you will know there is a lot of hard work behind the scenes to make it to the start line.

I've given up almost all now being 60 and tamed it down a bit to wing foiling but I've had a go at anything I liked the look of just like being on here really. Skydiving, paragliding, wakeboarding, kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing, mountainboarding, hill climbing (motorsport), scuba diving, pretty much anything that could result in injury or death LOL. my kids joke with me on how I've managed to live to my age, life is very short with lots to fit in.

Would running 100miles ultra marathons count as extre sports?

Road cycling at rush hour in Liverpool. Those taxi drivers are a law unto themselves

Got an R1 that I take on track days as I can’t afford any more points on the license.

I jumped out of a plane at 15,000 feet once and freefalled for one minute at 125mph.

Thankfully I was strapped onto a very hunky chap with a parachute.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Rebreather scuba, the environment and your kit are all out to kill you in imaginative and bizarre ways

Great stuff, and like me you can say that you have lived a life.

I have for a long time thought about doing a tandem parachute jump.

And you can say that you have lived a life rather than letting it pass you bye.

Secret hideaway in the pennines

Free fall parachuting, when I was a lot younger, 120 solo jumps under my belt before a malfunction, which the then wife witnessed

Scrambling on one of those buggers

I recently bought one of the Mk2 choppers

I tried riding it and I dont know if its my age or dodgy balance from head injuries. But the dam thing is lethal

wobbling all over the road.

and I suffered a blood clot on the brain

But once fit I had another go in 1993.

That sounds like riding a motorcycle on the roads. Where every myopic car driver is out to kill you.

I once read that fishing was the participation sport that took more lives than any other sport, extreme or not.

Take that speedsters, not as extreme as you like to think you are.

Insurance companies class full contact medieval combat as an extreme sport. We don't, as we try to not hurt each other (though when we get it right, it looks like we're trying to kill each other)

I used to partake in inline skating (halfpipe and street) bmx (halfpipe and street) and also downhill mountain biking, that was until I discovered cars and got lazy.
