Any other punk fans around?

Spent the morning at my desk with a rotating mix of punk in the background, mainly Dead Kennedys, but a bit of everything slipped in.

Got me curious, anyone else here into punk? UK or US, ska, post, goth, skate, crust… doesn’t matter. It’s all part of the same messy, noisey family.

Always good to know who else appreciates the noise.

Yipyip!!! I do roll my eyes at anyone who thinks DKs are the epitome of punk tho (ROFL)

Some bands on my playlist as a taster...

Zounds, uproar, the epileptics, chaos u.k, chain whip, the crucifucks, endless grinning skulls, alehammer, ratos de porao , the freeze, pisschrist , g.i.s.m., severed head of state ......

Yeah I like a bit of noise and mess

I'll be at scrumbagfest in Rugby end of August. Looks a banging line up for 20 quid for both days!!

You mean they’re not? Damn. 🤣

Good to see I’m in some amazing company here!

Honestly can’t think of a sub-genre within Punk that I’m not happy listening too. Well maybe 1, but fuck those folk.

Currently listening to Days N Daze on my way back from work.

It’s one of those I constantly go I should watch that. Then I completely forget about it. I’ve heard nothing but good, and it gets recommended all the time. Certainly as a horror lover too.

Well I like a lot of punk and hardcore, spent a lot of my late teens/20s going to plenty of shows and have plenty of records.

I still do that, but not as much now I’m older.

Even have a few tattoos inspired by it

I'm really getting into Amyl and the Sniffers, and Lambrini girls.. since dumping the ex. There is definitely a cutoff point tho, and I'm just sad a lot of new local punk bands aren't making it big, because we (broad strokes there, I know) keep putting money into the old cunts who should just fuck off and retire already.

Couldn't agree more, we're in an era that breeds rebellion and we need new bands. Absolutely with you on Amyl. I love green day, have done since I was a kid, but they're multi millionaires now, just step aside and let the next generation happen. Punk needs to be angry because, not for the cheque.

I got into wider punk due to being a little skate punk and getting into all those bands. Still love them. 🖤

Been into punk for as long as I've been into music. Australia are doing really well in the punk scene at the minute, amyl and the sniffers as someone mentioned are great and the chats are a favourite recently. Green room was a brilliant film. It hurt me to see Patrick Stuart play a nazi though.
