On here that could advise me two or three of the best exercises to reduce my belly fat and have a flatter stomach. I’m active all the time, work up to 12 hours a day, never drink alcohol, and don’t eat excessively although probably not the best of diets. I’d just like to lose a stone or two, and have a better physique.

You hit the nail on the head with 'not the best of diets'.... start there

Somewhere

Lose body fat all over, can't spot reduce.

Eat in a deficit, keep protein high, lift weights. It's no more difficult than that.

As above, but if you're a member of a gym, check whether they have any 'core' classes - targeting your full anterior and posterior chain will help tighten up your core (as well as improving your posture and help with general movement).

But no amount of exercise will make enough difference to make up for poor nutrition.

Also, if you are new to lifting, compund movements will build you quicker and burn more fat all over using multiple muscle groups

Manchester(ish).

Most of creating & keeping more helpful habits comes with knowledge and information.

Track what you eat now. See how much you eat and when and why.

Work out a calorie reduction or deficit. A calc called TDEE will help you.

Track your eating against that new eating target.

Then get out and enjoy movement.

Walking, cycling.

Gym classes.

I'd say its important to enjoy the movement.

Core work, is helpful for overall wellbeing. Maybe start with yoga.

Good luck.

Start by targeting you diet.

Make changes to your eating.

No food groups are actually the villains but over reliance on certain foods could be your issue.

Very simply ,you need to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight.

Eat less, move more.

Crunches are a simple and pretty safe exercise.

Anything designed to target your core.

Even being aware of and holding your core strong and tight while moving such as walking will help you.

Keep it simple.

Good luck.

Everything above so far excellent advice.

Belly fat is diet not lack of exercise. Stick to meat/fish/veg and fruit and weight will fall off very quickly. If your lifting as well you’ll be back here telling us how to do it.

I use to go to the gym. Six times a week. Too much. I destroyed my leg muscles and they went snap. I still walk about 4 miles per day, but that's my lot these days 🤓

Check the calorie count of the foods you are eating, no doubt you will ahve to change some of what you eat and reduce your calorie intake, drink plenty of water and exercise

Diet is the key, small and often. 170g protein and 140g of carbs, 5 times a day. Nail your diet and the weight will drop off, add weights and cardio into your weekly routine, 16 week programme. 💪
