My rule of thumb.. I’ll send a message that correlates to the length of your profile. If you’ve only got one line, how am I supposed to construct a meaningful message?

Thoughts?

Women dont want a thoughtful message, they just want to see your penis 🙃

seems fair. if they haven't put much effort in making a profile then you shouldn't (and can't really, not a lot of material to work with) put effort in making a first message.

Most women are more interested in the girth of your profile, rather than the length

If a person hasn't made much effort with their profile and it doesn't tell you much I wouldn't be so keen to message them. I like to know we have similar interests.

Do what's needed. It's a bit of fun isn't it?

If there’s nothing to go off on a profile, I don’t message.

Sounds like a cop out to me.

Why not just write what you want?

I mean- if the profile is 12 paragraphs long, why can’t you just say hello, and ask if they are up for a coffee or a beer of they like your profile?

I’m not here to count characters and matches them, if they look good, and have a short bio, I might waffle just to make them laugh and try to get there attention.

It’s all cool. 🙏

I don't see it as a cop out at all. Men are told constantly on here that they need to make more of an effort with their pics or bio and yet many of those giving advice don't practice what they preach.

There are lots of lazy couples and single women profiles who complain about messages lacking in quality and yet they fail to see the irony in having very little on their profiles because they know they don't have to as they will get lots of messages regardless.

It's easier to complain about other people not putting in the effort.

Sounds do you play ‘titt for tatt’. ‘Well they started it!’ - that type of thing?

Sounds like you have beef with the women who complain and taking it out on all the women/couples now. 😏

Seriously though, I just do what feels right, and I agree with the op, if I think someone’s not worth me time and energy I just don’t bother. 🙌🏻😅

I don't have a beef with anyone and I certainly don't play tit for tat because I haven't sent a message on fab in 5 years.

I just find it ironic that many people whining about poor quality messages or lazy profiles have made very little effort themselves and except others to do the legwork and carry the conversations.

When I was sending messages it was to profiles that showed in their bio and their forum comments that they were willing to make an effort.

hastings

i thought this was going to be about profiles being too long! i think anything above say 7-8 chunky paragraphs is a bit excessive. however i have got tired of those profiles with the paragraph at the end about sydney uni. especially when thats all thats in the profile beyond the automatically created 1 liner!
