I'm seeing more and more meets posted specifically stating they are looking for a single M by accounts that have blocked single men from messaging so there is no way to get in touch about the meet. WTF?!

Chances are they've had bad experiences and haven't updated their profiles accordingly.

It was only last night that we were contacted by both a wink and a friend invite by a couple, and when we tried to message back, were greeted with a stern warning that they weren't looking for couples!

Yeah, I'm aware of that but I'm talking about establishing initial contact in response to a posted meet. Is there another loophole I'm missing or is this situation as ridiculous as it seems to me?

It's crazy sometimes. I was contacted by a couple asking me to check out there profile and message them if I was interested.

I had a look and messaged back with a pic and then got no reply back from them. Not even a thanks but no thanks.

Maybe they've chatted to lots of single men previously where they themselves have made initial contact. Or they've browsed profiles and sent winks.

Once that happens those men can message them.

It just means not all men can. It's actually a very effective way of letting just those you may be interested in know you're looking for company without opening the floodgates to the entire male population of Fab. 🤷‍♂️

It's a way of letting the single men on their friends list or the ones they've previously been in contact with know they're looking. The ones who are free can then get in touch.
