How important is it that a partner can communicate in a similar way to you? If they have communication needs you can’t meet, how do you handle that?

Somewhat but my last partner had different communication needs and he taught me a lot. I'm a much better person for him being in my life so I think I'm open but it really depends..

It’s quite important to me to have a similar style of communication. If not, then atleast being able to meet in the middle.

Eg if someone has got a lot on that day, I’d prefer them to text me and let me know that they’re busy and won’t reply as much, rather than just not talking. Takes away the guessing 🤷🏻‍♀️

It doesn't bother me too much but I know from experience it means a lot to some.

I've met people that were terrible communicators over text but turned out to be a great laugh in person. If things aren't working for you, tell them because they may not realise and you've then thrown away something that could have been great.
