North of The Wall - youll need your vest

Do you think its a sign of the times that the usual January onslaught of tv adverts for exotic holidays seem to have been replaced with ads for your 'unwanted' gold?

They are driving me mad....

.

They don't bother me, as I don't usually go with the crowd, and prefer tailor-made itinerary myself.

I keep seeing them and thinking wellsurly the gold will be stolen, if you can't send a birthday card to someone with a £5 in it with out been stolen its a little bit risky doin git with gold.

yes and when you go on them you go to pick one and when you phone it is about £100 more than it said on the compare site.

"those go compare adverts with the very annoying singer drives me nuts "

The first one was good for it's novelty factor but I'm finding them very irritating too now.

As for the unwanted gold ads, if anyone is stupid enough to put gold into an envelope then put it in the post then I have no sympathy for them whatsoever if it gets 'lost' or they get ripped off with a way under value return on it.

I've even heard of someone rejecting the valuation but had to pay £70 to have their gold returned to them!

If that's the case, then they've achieved there goal, i.e. to get people discussing the advert thus more publicity

A world of my own

The bloody sofa ads did my head in on boxing day and the bank holiday, almost every single ad was advertising a sofa sale,

Its not just adverts selling products.

Every TV program ad trailer seems to be dieting ones.
