"There's always one side that screams top and one that shouts bottom! 😁" So true and once you have chosen you can never turn it over...

"We never use the reverse side facing up." If it's reversible surely both sides are the front and reverse? I suspect most people consider the most patterned side to be the "front"; i.e. the side that faces up. Many moons ago I had a set that was literally plain black on one side and plain white on the other. This was actually a smarter arrangement than it sounds as in hot weather you could leave the white side up to reflect heat and in cold weather leave the black side up to absorb it. The downside was both sides - being completely devoid of any pattern whatsoever - stained very easily so regular washing was essential. Within months this caused the black side to start turning grey and the white side to start turning off-white. It was good while it lasted, though.

"I have 2 identical duvet sets to save that issue. However I decided to purchase one set of cream sheets and pillowcases and another in terracotta to match the pattern on the duvets. Every single time I change the beds, I'm always discovering I'm missing a pillowcase I need." I hate the missing pillowcases. I once changed my bed and couldn't for the live of me find 1 pillow case. Didn't bother putting one on as i have a spare side of the bed. A few days later i felt something weird in the duvet cover. It was the missing pillowcase.
