Went to a dear family friends funeral and he went away to the theme tune of Grandstand, the crowd all smiled as it was perfect for him and I couldn't have thought of a better send off.

Interesting tunes, some of them I have heard at funerals, I'm going to shock everybody at mine, there's a Bristol band called Dead mans bastards, they were recording in my studio last week, they've got a song called ritual, not sure many people friends or family would quite know what hit them when it's blasted out !!!

I'd like to have a church funeral but always find contemporary music in church odd.

Elgar, nimrod

1. All ways look at the bright side of life,

2, Time to say goodbye (all ways good for a few tears)

3, Born to be wild,

these are what I would like at my funeral, something to put a smile on people faces, at least one sorrowful one though.

A friend of mine wants to be cremated and as the coffin goes through the curtain have a man on the conveyor button to keep stopping it and have The Clash's Should I Stay or Should I Go playing!

Several years ago attended the funeral of a close family friend who was called Ernie and was a milkman - and yes he really did have his coffin played out of the crem to Benny Hill's Ernie (The Fastest Milkman in the West) - turning what was a heartbreaking moment into a heartwarming one - just as he intended it should!

I'd quite like to have "Wild Horses" by Natasha Bedingfield played at mine. I've always said I'd like to live running wild and free in my next life and the words just suit my opinion of a perfect existence.

southend

I'm going with Bon Jovi - Sleep when I'm dead and Beautiful South's One God.

I want my funeral to be a true reflection of me, so I'm also having Bitch by Meredith Brooks.

Hull

I have left strict instructions for my funeral that nobody is to be morbid. Nobody is to wear black. It is to be a celebration of my life so it would have to be something like Gimme gimme Gimme a man after midnight, dirty dancer or Filthy Gorgeous by the scissor sisters...

what? a cultured man on Fab? I must tell the admin to eject him. Great choice as it was written to signify an impending death.

One of the versions of the theme from M.A.S.H. which includes the lyrics probably because of how inappropriate some will find it.

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

I`d have to make my entrance to "Be On Your Way" by DJ Zany but in the same style as the dart player Ted Hankey i.e. cut the first 1`30` or so. I`d also have "Farandole" by Love Sculpture and finish off with "In My Own Time" by Family.
