Daughter just came running in with cat wrapped in her jacket,.she had seen it get run over. She said it was still breathing when she picked it up. Sadly by the time she got home it had died. So now got the body in the garden ready to take to the vets tomorrow to see if its chipped to try to locate its owner. Appears to be a well care fored cat. So looks like im on poster duties tomirrow, but reluctant to put our number out, any advice.

I know legally you dont have to stop if you run over a cat, but humanity sake they should have. Proud of her for doung the right thing

I know you want to do the right thing but just watch you dont get hit with the disposal bill if its not chipped

That's sad.

Well done your daughter. Its strange really, I see lots of roadkill every day and don't blink an eye, but on the odd occasion I have seen a dead cat I have found it upsetting to think someone has lost a pet

Sad to loose a pet, worse to not know what happened. Nice to know someone cared for it in it's last moments.

Well done your daughter.

Near Edinburgh..

It might be a Famous cat - and reckon you should take it to 10 downing street...

sorry couldnt resist that..

but if you phone the rspca and explain.. the will normally come and take the deceased animal away for you. x

Thanks for the up-date.

If I were the cat's owner I would be very grateful to you and your daughter.
