I was chatting to my friend the other day and was saying that I really miss flirting and can't remember the last crush I had. I'm 49 so it's not like I get a lot of attention from men.

I think I may have posted before about this but things haven't changed.

I wfh so I don't meet people that way. How do you get to have a proper flirt and do you have crushes at 40 plus?

Feeling a bit flat today and would love to be able to flirt and feel sexy again.

Virtual flirting I just cant get into that much atm.

I was winked at by a man at a bus stop a couple of weeks ago.

I was looking out of the bus window at the people getting on and I caught his eye, apparently.

It made me laugh.

I hope you get that feeling back soon OP. You can still flirt, feel sexy. Maybe not right now but in time.

Getting out, if virtually isn't for you, can help. Gym, cafés. Supermarkets because when you're trying to decide if black sesame seeds are a fad you're clearly saying "please come and talk to me". :D

Btw I do go out socially quite a lot but it's always with my girlfriends and men never approach when youre in a group of ladies I find. Or maybe thats just me! 🤣

I don't feel comfortable or confident enough to even attempt to flirt with people in person. I'm also hopeless at picking up if someone is interested in me.

I'm 42 in a couple of weeks and I've pretty much given up on the idea of a relationship again and I'm quite happy with that. However,I do miss a crush. Its exciting, especially if its mutual. The idea of embarking on a passionate fling is wonderful, however my mojo ran away around 18 months ago so no idea of how to get back to the crush scenario.

Ultimately someone will need to sweep me off my feet in M&S for it to be likely these days!

I automatically think that nobody could possibly be interested in me.

I'm sorry you're feeling that way. My confidence has really gone as my perimenopause symptoms have increased. I hope you get your mojo back as it's a hard place to be in.

A crush would be so fun!

Life and I doubt I’ll have the courage to walk up to a stranger and flirt. Online is easier for me as I’m introverted (although no one believes me when I say this) . And perimenopause did a huge number on me too… HRT has helped but my confidence was incredibly low for the longest time especially with gaining weight if I just looked at the wrong thing.

Hang in there and try different things…hopefully something soon will give you that boost you need ladies. In the mean time fake it till you make it or at least get under someone 😋😉

Thanks to Fab I do have sex quite often but sometimes you just want to feel desirable IRL rather than Fab desirable if that makes sense?

HRT has helped a bit but I still struggle.
