Think the key things to remember here are personal choice, preferences and the sheer fact that everyone is entitled to different attitudes!

Anyone who expects any kind of sexual activity to happen with everyone they meet is gonna be sorely disappointed!

I didnt want to even try it until a guy I was with asked did I want to. As I trusted him completely I agreed. I was scared to death but just needed to relax, was actually enjoyable but wouldnt just do it with anyone, Id seen him for nearly a year fairly regularly. Was just the once havent done it since

Well anal is painful in general really - (even for those who enjoy it)without previous experience and a good warm up first. Once relaxed it can indeed be very pleasurable, but given the generally intense nature of the act, its not something I'd ever suggest to anyone who wasn't openly receptive to the idea, or expect it to be universally enjoyed.
