The look of D/s

Went to meet a new sub today, and as I walked through the crowds in town my mind began to wonder as I looked at the passing faces. I started to try and decide if someone could look 'sub'.

I'm not talking about them being dressed in rubber and strapped over a table- I mean just their face, expression, basic mannerisms etc in everyday life?

I know theres probably no way of really answering this, Its just something that popped into my head that I'm interested in others opinion on

I went to Subway for my lunch today and as I walked home via a subway, I was pondering the awful fate that befell the sailors on the Kursk, a Russian submarine......

That has been a dominant thought in my head today

I don't think you can tell in general, but there are definitely a series of qualities in a person you may meet who feels submissive toward you yourself.

I've come across both men and women who "click" in that way as soon as any interraction starts. Something about the way they look at me and speak makes it obvious.

Once I met a girl in a rock club and within 10 minutes we were in the toilets together with me doing unspeakable things to her while she begged for more.

I believe that people are more submissive to certain individuals than submissive across the board. They will actively seek someone who they feel has the qualities they like. That's when "it" happens.

By the same token, I've met guys whom I immediately know I'll be sub to, or dom to. It's a personality thing.

I agree, sometimes when you speak to someone, and connect (sometimes without even knowing why) it can be because of a sub/dom undercurrent.

It happened to me in chams and it wasn't until later I understood why

I don't think you can tell from their look/appearance though, more from their behaviour/words and actions, but then that's body language

See, this is the thing about D/s for me. Its so much more a state of mind and a state of being than being all about having to wear some specific style of dress or mannerisms.

The best D/s is a psychological state of being and getting someone to submit to you can be a subtle, wonderful thing.

I pity the people who believe its all about leather pants, shouting and whipping someones ass.

Oh the whole BDSM "uniform" thing really gets my goat. Men in leather waistcoats with floggers hanging from their belts make me sick a bit in my mouth.

It puts me off too; theres so much more to D/s than that, but so many get hung up on thinking that its just about beatings..

When I see my D he's usually naked with maybe a towel around him, it's all in the mind an he doesn't need anything but a mouth voice and hand to have complete control over me sometimes a look is enough to get me exactly where he wants me, if he was all dressed up I think I would just laugh at him!

Oh DEFINITELY the eyes and the voice. My hubby makes me melt with those every time.

oh i agree its def not just about getting your ass whipped thats just the fun side its how you feel inside and how you use your mind its more a mental than a physical dynamic

Yesterdays sub is a newbie looking to be trained, I wasn't convinced before we met or for the first 20ish minutes of chatting. Turns out one of the things she was most concerned about was not getting beaten or some sort of physical violence

Once I'd explained thats not really what BDSM is about and it certainly won't happen in any way with me she instantly relaxed, another one thats been tainted by the media portrayal of BDSM and D/s

She will make a most excellent sub though

Might be me, but theres only been afew meets (women) Ive ever had in my lifetime where the woman has been the dominant sexually. For the most I am the dominant in the bedroom entirely.

As far as 'recognising' a submissive in the street. Of course you can. Though I am reasonably intuitive. Im not saying I could spot a submissive woman every time, though I do usually find the submissive side of women once the curtains are drawn.

I think there are more and more women open minded about bondage naowadays though. I did go through a spate 2 years ago, where every woman I met wanted something over and above vanilla sex though. To the extent where I actaully had to stop meeting because of it.

with you on this.. I submit to very few people... But it's all in the look.. and just a tone of voice... But also subtle touches.. no one else around would realise I've just been dominated..

I can normally tell a dominant guy... But not submissive.
