Things you'd save in a fire?

Firstly, happy Friday folks:

For those working, I feel your pain.

For those not, enjoy.

So,just as the title says. Your place is on fire you know you've got to evacuate quickly!

What are you going to save and if you feel like explaining, why those items?

Everything is insured although there’s a couple of guitars that are limited editions that would have to be grabbed on the way out

"Everything is insured although there’s a couple of guitars that are limited editions that would have to be grabbed on the way out "

Defo worth saving.

I have a hand made one with a striking painting on the back. I'd maybe try and save that. It's a bit knackered but one of a kind.

My mam's house did burn. What I learnt make digital copies of old photos and put on a cloud. She was in the house when it caught fire. Things she needed, phone, car keys and wallet if like her you don't have your card on your phone. Else you won't be eating or drinking without help. Also helps if you have your passport and driving licence ect. And if like her you don't renew your insurance online (grrrr) but on the phone your policy numbers etc.

"Bank card

Passport

Car keys

"

A sensible list, but are they all in the same place (easy to find)? Remembering the house is on fire!

It's a tough one, I don't care about most of the "stuff" it's insured and is replaceable (in fact, it would be nice to replace some of it).

But then there is the save life being a pain list (as above), but even more importantly stuff from the kids, family mementoes, some OOAK artwork etc.

Never going to save everything that's important. That's why it's such a devastating event.

Ultimately as long as everyone gets out safe, that's a win, anything else is a bonus.
