How do you send a first message to someone to make them want to reply?

I have sent specific messages. They are either unread or read with no response. I’m not copying and paste thing but clearly whatever I’m saying is not working.

Be you.

If you change your message style to achieve success, people are interacting with someone else, not you.

May as well let Chat GPT do the heavy lifting.

Be polite, comment on something that shows you’ve read their profile. Go with no expectations. Be patient. It’s a numbers game with the men / woman ratio and you sometimes just need a bit of luck and good timing.

Are you messaging single women? a single woman I know shared her 'who looked at me' count with me: one thousand and something in 24 hours along with a silly number of messages. So more than anyone could read/reply to. You'd probably have more success if you attend some parties or such events, where the odds aren't so strongly against you making contact.

I rarely send a first message, but if i do it tends to be a comment on their status, pay them a compliment, thank them for a fab or wink.

Sometimes to comment on their gorgeous blue underwear 💙

I’m not the target audience but do get quite a busy inbox (stop sniggering at the back).

Think about your email inbox. You determine if you open the message from what you can see. So be interesting. The advice about make each message specific to the profile is a bit nonsense. What a lot of work for no guarantee result. So go ahead and use the sane opener. But be interesting. Controversial. Funny. Something that messes the recipient want to open the message

Women get tons of messages

No matter what you say it's essentially a lotto

So, expect nothing, but surprised when you get something.

If a message is polite, well written and from someone who’s clearly read and understood my profile I will check the senders profile, distance and pics before deciding if I am going to reply or not.

Women get a ridiculous amount of messages a day on here OP. If we give a polite no thank you we tend to get abuse (not all the time) so we will just delete a message without replying.

As others have said keep being yourself and don’t expect a response, if you get one great but if not don’t take it personally.

My opening message all depends on who I'm talking to. My first message to a dominatrix would be very different to my first message to a sub for example. I always try to find something within their profile that we have in common that I can comment on. Just be yourself x

Unfortunately for you (and me) OP this is that it’s the nature of the site that more likely than not you won’t get a reply. Just keep doing what you’re doing and pick out what they’re asking for.

I’ve had luck getting a chance to chat through forums too as it might be a common interest that you’re able to chat about.
