Spiders are welcome in my house as long as they don't decide to join me in bed. September is the time of year when the big spiders appear; they are fascinating to watch.

I'm a total arachnophobe 🥺 but my garden is absolutely FULL of cellar spiders as I live next to a park and they make their way into the house at times. When I googled them it said they are really useful for controlling other creepy crawlies in the house and other less friendly spiders, and they pretty much leave people alone so you should leave them to it. So I'm trying not to kill them or freak out when I see them. But I wish they weren't so creepy 😩 especially these with their giant spindly legs.

Spiders are awesome. Great fun watching them. You should look up the scientific tests they did with Web patterns and certain recreational pharmaceuticals

Not had many this year but last year I had one in my dressing gown. I got to the kitchen thinking something’s up before the fuck raised it's head. I got naked so quick it astonished even me - so did the high pitched ohhh that came with it.

One year our shed had a colony of false windows. I refused to go in there. Not saying that we should destroy them with fire, but we should probably destroy them with fire.

I'm totally overrun with spiders here! Every time I open the doors and windows I'm breaking down spider houses that have been built overnight. And my shed is like something out of a horror movie, where you need a machete to fight your way in through the spider webs!

Yes we have plenty of Cellar Spiders, they love our house!

As well as keeping House Spider numbers down (I’ve not seen one of those for years) if you feel there are just too many Cellar Spiders to cope with, because they are so slow, they are dead easy to catch

I live in the roof of the building so my flat is riddled with them.

I don't generally mind spiders but the endless cobwebs are annoying.

Come September some of them are big enough to be paying me rent too.

I have lots of spiders (even though I did vacuum quite a few up on a hoovering blitz) and I'm still covered in painful, itchy insect bites.

You suppose to rub a little near the window so it doesn't come in

I’m uncomfortable with spiders … I’ve had a massive tarantula in my hands, that didn’t phase me. He was quite cute … but the household spiders … that are running their spider willies across your face at night, lurking and then making a sprint across the living room … those I struggle with. Especially the ones that look like they will be the perfect size to burrow in my ear canal. I tend to get a glass or container of some sort over them and then will drive them out somewhere to release them so they don’t find their way back to my space 🍭
