Photos... professional or amateur?

I can't upload some of my photos because they are my professional work and fab thinks I'm stealing other people's pics.

What do you prefer on profiles? Artsy and professional or unedited and amateurs from a phone?

I have a mix of both on my profile.

Both.

The trick if you have images elsewhere is to not cross post on platforms.

Its easy to take several during shoots and use different images in different places. If you don't want to direct people to other platforms you're on, or personal work related galleries then just use different photos completely for Fab.

That way there'll be no issue with uploading them here and getting them approved, and no risk of people from Fab contacting you elsewhere. 🤷‍♂️

I appreciate that, I only use photos of myself from my portfolio on one other platform ( can't name it ) but I have the same screen name and there's no way of it being connected to my business etc. ( I take photos of other people usually. )

Amateur. I don't really like the too staged, too edited photos. They do absolutely nothing for me; I'm more in the documentary style camp.

Oh that's not quite true. I like some of the more humorous takes on photos. They tend to be edited.

I prefer seeing an amateur one. I appreciate the effort and thought that goes into a professional photo but they tend to intimidate me...

I like both.

Chances are someone is reverse image searching you and then reporting your photos as nicked off the internet.

The only other platform that they are on isn't public as it is my fetish social media account under the same screen name.

So unless someone has taken my images and used them, they should Google reverse image search.

I think it is how the photo looks.

I have seen loads of pictures on peoples profile that are awful, blurred, out of focus, etc. Why do that, when they are what people will decide whether or not to meet you.

As long as the picture is clear, maybe cropped to imorove the picture, I don't mind if it is professional or taken on a mobile phone, stuck on a door frame with a bit of blu tack, using a self timer.

I like a well light and posed photo - there are some excellent photographers on here. I think “pro” sets from a shoot are not a good idea but if you can show a range of good photographs then that definitely helps.

There's two images on my profile that were taken with a camera. The rest are all mobile phone shots.

The technology is easily good enough to get good images and edit them on a decent mobile and whether you use blue tac, tape or a cheap phone holder off Temu and a self timer, there's no real reasons anyone can't take a clear photo themselves with a phone these days. 🤷‍♂️

Your public pics look phenomenal.

All my pics are taken via a phone and withoutany filters.

That probably explains why they're so bad. 😆 🤣

Can't see reason your photos are being rejected then. It's not like there aren't other pro photographers posting photos regularly.

Look at Anna Sams account for example

Can't see why you can't upload pro shots, unless they're watermarked with the togs handle.

Some of our shots, taken by Tog have appeared on other sites, never been a problem
