So Chelsea take on Benefica for the Europa cup tonight

Gonna be a stonker of a game even though Hazard is out So even if you dont like Chelsea lets hope an English team win the the cup Oh and if we do we will be the first club in history to hold both European cups in one season

Its not a hate thing far from it would be great if the team was all english not from a racial point simply because if we want a strong national team there has to be less reliance of overseas players. I support england as my country but no individual clubs.

Lol lucky to win the CL ?? lmao we beat Barca with 10 men thats hardly lucky is it ?? Futhermore we are in the top 3 of the premiership so not a poor season at all.

With all the changes and management issues we have gone through i think we have acheived masses and shown everyone its about how you play football a lesson many teams could learn !

Well I ain't a Chelsea fan, but tonight is a dilemma.

I'll be supporting Rafa Benetiz and I hope that he gets the win that he deserves.

It was actually quite cringeworthy watching so called CFC fans heading off to Amsterdam this morning still slagging off a manager who has basically saved their season.

Good Luck Rafa, Hope you win it, Just a pity that it'll be Chelsea's name on the cup.

I disagree i dont think Rafa has saved us at all, he has done a good job as interim manager but Matteo put the foundations in place and re glued the team together, he should never of been sacked as he understood Chelsea and how they play.

We'll agree to disagree then so as to keep your thread on track. I'd simply say that if Rafa had been appointed Chelsea manager last summer, you may have been playing at Wembley on 25th May rather than Amsterdam tonight and the fact your not rests in Di Matteo's hands.

We all love our managers whom win us "Big Ears" which is why Rafa will always be loved and admired by me along with Sir Bob Paisley and Smokin Joe Fagen. Sometimes though it blinds us and most people who weren't a Chelsea fan were surprised Di Matteo was made manager last summer. I wouldn't take anything away from Chelsea winning the cup last season, but you must admit that cup luck ran your way, yes you had 10 men against Barca because JT was a loony, but Messi missing a penalty to name one of many incidents in the cup run. As a LFC fan, I'm more than big enough to say LFC rode our luck in the run to winning "Big Ears" in 2005, that takes nothing away from our triumph, but every team that wins a cup gets a little bit of luck on the way.

I seen Benfica play Celtic in the Champions League this season, they're a pretty decent team, though we could have had them at home, their keeper is terrible though. Cardozo is a handful of a player, he's got a great shot on him.
