Now we all have aim for 'glass skin'. Apparently having pores is bad. Who knew?

What do you think will be the next thing 'they' try to convince us we should buy expensive products to achieve?

I always think it looks a bit oily. It looks like me right now, but my dewy look is a sheen of sweat rather than hydrated skin.

With menopausal acne I'm going for the pockmarked mediaeval peasant look for my skin. It'll be all the rage soon, I'm sure.

Fuck know. It’s boring being given a new complex and sold a solution every other day

Hip dips are a problem I now have but up until a couple of years ago didn’t even know the shape of my hip bones were such a problem

Not sure what hip dips are, but there is nothing you need to worry about

Stay as you are, it's definitely working for you!

I dont like the glass look, its look oily to me.

I do use a vit c serum which helps with brightening and texture.

Just by having a good skin hygiene you will help close open/large pores..

Just another fleeting trend. Like those awful liquid contours when it was about looking like Kim K (ignoring the fact it takes hours).

It’ll all be about something else in a month.

Hip dips sounds like exercise… not interested!! Glass skin fs who says that’s ‘desirable’ some unemployable twat who decides to become a ‘social media influencer ‘ - that’s not a job - you’re just unemployable. Thats my Thursday ray of sunshine delivered

"I wonder if it's meant to make you look as if you've used a filter in real life 🤔"

Yep. Poreless, dewy, bouncy complexion. I think filters look rather bad and unnatural (in terms of those that change skin texture, remove blemishes etc). I don't think glass skin looks good in real life.

Its quite simple, if you didnt know you needed it and didnt know what it was yesterday, the you don't need it today!!

Those pesky charlatans on the Internet would try and convince you you need to buy better air if they thought you would buy it, or if it would make them look like they're in the know.

I'm happy in my ignorance.

I don't have a skincare regime. I barely remember to moisturise now.

I went months without having my hair done. I don't shave my pubic hair bare. I do my own eyebrows, and don't have my nails done.

That has been done years ago. I recall someone selling canned air from somewhere in England.

I never thought people would be stupid enough to buy bottled water but f me they do and it's now an industry worth millions ........ god how I laughed and now how I cry.

I saw a bloke at the airport whose routine must have been gym, sunbed, gym, sunbed,Turkey for new teeth, gym, sunbed.

He looked like the hulks shadow until he smiled. I went snowblind every time he opened his mouth. He looked like a mahogany piano. A bizarre caricature of what healthy males should aspire to.

Social media has changed society and mostly not in a good way. Its given crackpots a platform to share their thoughts - relied on algorithms to judge whether content is appropriate, removed peoples ability to interact in person and facilitated much more inappropriate behaviour by giving people a level of anonymity and detachment from their actions. In fact - im off to start a thread on Social Media - Good or Bad…. Before my soapbox wears out

Everyone has some kind of pores whether they are large or very minimal so give the look of a smoother face. In a world full of airbrushing and good lighting, people are trying to live up to a standard that doesn't exist.

Buying products that's good for your skin isnt a bad thing but buying something because social media told you to is.

I have a skincare routine, it's always best to do your own research, and decide for yourself what is good. I have tried many products some have worked, and some haven't. There are some amazing stuff out there that do make a difference

Now shall I answer this seriously or not?

If you're referring to skin care, no I don't. I do some stuff at home but I'm too lazy to do it routinely.

If you're referring to a 'facial'. No
