The amount of people on Fab who don't reply to messages is shocking and down right bloody rude! A simple no thanks would do!

See although I reply to my emails I do not agree with you. The site doesnt give you an automatic 'no thanks' button which is a shame but people do not have to reply. It is their choice.

I often find that if i do reply with a thanks but no thanks it seems to give the gent in question the freedom to re write back an it becomes an endless circle. So now if im not interested then i dont reply back ( in the past i always did) but no matter how you do it you cant win!! you cant please everyone

we always reply,wether its yes or no,unless of course the writer hasnt bothered to look at our profile n simply leered at the pics,ie,outside our age range or not what we are looking for at all,in which case we believe the writer deserves to be blanked

I think you are right in not replying. Some people just have to have the last word and if/when the exchange becomes hostile, thats when people get stressed and the inevitable happens

it's all part of life's rich tapestry, no one will ever have the definitive answer to this age old question other than it's a matter of individual choice, after all arn't we all individuals !!!!!!,personally i take a no reply as being " sorry not interested" if i get a " not interested" then respectfully i'll thank them for doing so, like i said it's a personal choice thing, but just once in a while you can and do strike up a friendship even if you arn't " their type" so a reply can lead to something special even if it's not a meeting of bodies instead of minds.

These are my thoughts on the subject

Not sure it would. A couple of folk have already said that when they reply the get abuse back so a button as you suggest would quite likely still produce a negative response

] how on earth can a site force someone to reply !!!!!! that would mean a site representitive would have to read every single mail and then instruct some members that the reply is pending. and issue notice that if no reply is made then a forfiet will be leveled on their account....... nope i can't see it working either lol nor can i see a " not interested" reply button working either because it still needs the individual to press it to make it work

Why doesn't FAB put up a message before you click the join button. You have to tick it to say you've read it...... a simple statement saying about no replies, why won't people meet me etc... and if the whinging twats then put up a thread........ delete their profile and ban them as serial arseholes!

Sadly it doesn't stop the complaining. We are on another site that has a "no thanks" auto reply, and people complain that they didn't even get a typed reply but just the automated one
