One of our hens has gone broody. She's sat on 16 eggs at the moment ! I think we have about a week till they're due to hatch. Going to cost a fortune in chick feed lol but they will be sooo cute

We need to think of some decent names this time round. Last year we had two hatch, one of which we named fluff. It suited him to start with but now he's just a very angry very sex craved cockerel and I don't think he appreciates being called fluff anymore

my sister has got 4 bantems, its her first time keeping chickens.

2 of them went broody so she kept them in chicken jail for a few days. one of them 'broke' fairly quickly but the other one wouldnt.

Last weekend she went to get a fake eg for her to sit on but came home with a chick

Need to know basis

Crack the eggs and make an omelette, saves you the hassle of finding names or putting up with more sex craved angry cockrels!
