Slightly different topic. We’re heading into London tomorrow and looking for recommendations on a restaurant for dinner. Something near the Royal Albert hall / South Kensington / Covent Garden / Leicester Square etc.

looking for something a bit different to the ‘standard’ or maybe a nice steak restaurant.

Thanks!

Solihull

Paradise under the stars if you want an experience, it’s 1950’s cuba and kind of immersive.

Lunch or dinner if you’re after something different

About 2 miles away from Albert hall

All over

I know a few but have nit been for quite sometime so best not recommend. Macellaio RC South Kensington is sort of renown for steak but again pls do uour own research. Also this is one you really need to reserve in advance. Failing that, lots of lovely restaurants around covent garden in the streets behind rather than the touristy bit. A nice walk if yiu jave time and can pick one you fancy tbe look and ambiance of.

Agree with Mobile, look down the side streets and consider the vibe. Some good independents lurking if you take a look.

NW London

Soho is pretty good for food and a short walk from Leicester Square

Blacklock is good for meat (it's housed in a basement that used to be a brothel)

Flat Iron is good quality steak on a budget.

Bodeans is another good meat restaurant (BBQ)

Speedboat is a fun little Thai/Chinese bar, although all the food is pretty spicy.

Stourbridge

Cafe Pacifico in Lawley Street Covent Garden. 1 minute from Tube and just up from Pineapple Dance. Mexican food. Very good

Morden

There's a lot of good Chinese restaurants in Chinatown just north of Leicester Square
