So now we have the period where every football fan scrolls social media (some incessantly, others more controlled) to see what player their team is linked with, and which of the current crop are leaving, then the subsequent excitement or deflation when they realise the calibre of player they’ll be watching next season.

It’s also the cricket season so when I’m wrapped up in that I find that I don’t miss football at all. I’m always glad of the break.

I love football don't get me wrong but for some it's nearly their whole life and genuinely have comedowns from May to July.

Boring. A money making exercise for the clubs and FIFA. But hey let’s cancel FA Cup replays because we play too much football.

I love football but I hate FIFA. I won't be watching the club world cup. It's just an awful distortion of competition

With how our transfer window is going so far, I'm confident we'll finish at least 17th next season

R.I.P. JOTTA rivalries mean nothing at times like this heartbreaking for his family,

anyone else concerned with the goings on at Morecombe fc as yet another unfit owner plays games with the existence of a community club refusing to sell despite buyers waiting to make agreed purchase now board dissolved unable to pay bills sponsors walking away club heading for administration and possibly folding . how many more times must this happen before the efl/fa tighten their so called fit & proper person's test to make it fit for purpose?

The only way your manager lasts is if he somehow manages a win in the Derby. That’s not happening but Steve Bruce will be available so it’s not all bad.

I'd like to see Sunderland stay up but I can't see it tbh

Surely it can't be three seasons on the trot where the promoted teams all go back down.

Leeds and Burnley to scrape up in 16th and 17th

Brentford and Wolves could go down. Very hard to predict.

The gap between The Premier League and The Championship has never been bigger. As much as I’d love to see Sunderland go straight back down something needs to be done about it. Maybe relax PSR for newly promoted clubs but I can’t see how that would work for the teams that go down at their expense.

I can see West Ham struggling to stay up this season.

Spurs Man Utd and Everton to go down? That would have pundits going on about it for years to come.

I’m only kidding, I can’t see it. Sunderland, Burnley and a n other.

Like the previous post, I agree the gulf between the two divisions is ridiculous. There needs to be a serious overhaul of how the billions is distributed.

If all 3 promoted teams struggle to stay in the Prem League again and do go back down it may just be the catalyst for change, but who knows. Mx

Yes Potter struggled last term and they cant have Moyes back this time.

Will there be a surprise team struggling again this time like United and spurs?

The R places were decided so early there was no excitement at all. Liverpool running away with the title left only the CL places fight as the only bit of excitement we really got.

Let's hope this season is much better
