Nose job?

I am considering having a nose job....nothing too drastic, just would like to narrow mine as it's a little bit wide My question is...has anyone had a nose job, how did you cope with it, were you pleased with the results, what was the recovery time?

If you decide to go thorough with it……

I think it’s very wise to find a reputable surgeon who specialises in that particular procedure and who is able to provide supported assurance your requirements are easily achievable in their hands.

uv probly seen my posts for all intense and purposes iv just had 1 3days ago although mine wasent cosmetic my nose was broken in 3 places my septum was concertinad whitch broke my skull an puntured the sack that your brain sits in. while fixing that little lot they also scrapped out my synoses an widend them so I can breath like every 1 els.

take my advice if you could see the state of me you really wouldn't be thinking about it if its not broken dont fix it its not werth it your boutifull as you are an no pain

One of my best friends had it done due to here having a massive bump in from being broken and it affecting her breathing. She says it was uncomfortable and a bit painful afterwards but the best thing she's ever done!!

I no just what she means feels like my lifes just started again this sounds mad but I can breath again but to go threw this for looks alone not a chance on earth im in agany an pain killers are doing nothing

If you're doing it privately look up BAAPS. Research your surgeon and find one you like. If it will make you feel better I say go for it! Just be aware that sometimes things can go wrong.

Maybe also look on the CH4 website for a series from 2011 where they looked at cosmetic surgery. Great info on there. Or pm me and I'll send you the link if you can't find it.

I can actually speak with some authority here, having had 2.5 nose jobs - the last one only merits 0.5 as it was just carving away some bone inside and didn't make any external difference.

Does it hurt ? A wee bit of carving such as that you're proposing won't hurt much - as far as pain & inconvenience goes, I'd put it on a par with a 2-week bout of particularly nasty laryngitis. Inconvenient, a little painful, but no big deal.

One piece of advice that I would offer is to have it done in an NHS hospital if you can - my first nose job was private and was a terrible experience. The subsequent 1.5 operations have been performed in NHS hospitals and were fantastic. I'd certainly say that you should consult your GP rather than a Cosmetic Surgery Clinic - they're interested in your money - he/she is interested in your welfare.

In my personal opinion, what is the point of spending quite a few thousand of pounds on something you admit is a little touch up? To a stranger a little narrower nose won't be very easy to tell you've had work done

Hi, I had a nose jobbie about four years ago, i researched my surgeon and was pleased with result. Google the procedure, and yes it was painful after but nothing i couldnt cope with.

I have recently had a neck lift due to weight loss and its terrific, reason i mention this is i went to Hungary to have it carried out, fantastic treatment all the way, and its about 70% cheaper than UK as are Nose Jobs, great surgeon.

Going back for my front crowns to be replaced £250.00 as oppossed to £800.00 each in UK.

Happy to pass on details of Surgeon etc....
