"If you're doing it privately look up BAAPS. Research your surgeon and find one you like. If it will make you feel better I say go for it! Just be aware that sometimes things can go wrong. Maybe also look on the CH4 website for a series from 2011 where they looked at cosmetic surgery. Great info on there. Or pm me and I'll send you the link if you can't find it. " Thanks I'll have a look

"I can actually speak with some authority here, having had 2.5 nose jobs - the last one only merits 0.5 as it was just carving away some bone inside and didn't make any external difference. Does it hurt ? A wee bit of carving such as that you're proposing won't hurt much - as far as pain & inconvenience goes, I'd put it on a par with a 2-week bout of particularly nasty laryngitis. Inconvenient, a little painful, but no big deal. One piece of advice that I would offer is to have it done in an NHS hospital if you can - my first nose job was private and was a terrible experience. The subsequent 1.5 operations have been performed in NHS hospitals and were fantastic. I'd certainly say that you should consult your GP rather than a Cosmetic Surgery Clinic - they're interested in your money - he/she is interested in your welfare."
