I'm just asking as noticed a lot of couples, single women and single men on the forums saying how difficult it has been for them to meet people.

For me it has been pretty tough past few months. Been stood up a few times and been ghosted too. But I overall can't complain as not done too bad.

Pretty much the same here. 99.9% of messages go unread or get deleted. Someone messaged the other day, but she ignored my reply and then I realised she had obviously got a better offer.

It's a bit demoralising to be fair, but this is fab and I don't think it'll ever change.

My opinion after four years here (on and off) is that it's a poor way to meet people when you balance effort and outcomes. I only meet new people now by chance at Socials or through Forum, proactively I look elsewhere.

I've honestly no idea.

I haven't sent any messages or met anyone new since before the first covid lockdown but that has been by choice rather than circumstance.

I wouldn't say it has ever been easy to connect with and meet people but through patience and consistency I've always found it fairly straightforward.

If I decided to start meeting again I would just take the same approach and go from there.

It is what it is and that will be different for everyone as people have varied reasons for being here. Aside from the fake accounts, ghosting and the distruptors, I find the foruns a good way to start connections from just conversation to socials or more. Go with the flow without high expectations and things follow without allowing to it to take over your existence as that could mess someone's head.

These days we don't meet people very often, it could be once a year at best. We also don't join in on forum chats all that often anymore too. Our meets generally come from our fab friends who act as matchmakers or invite us to private parties. We may occasionally attend an organised social event, but again not very often at all.

We see fab as a tool, and use it when and how it suits us. We don't rely on it.

This site has never really been a big success for me, and I stay logged in to just check out the odd profile or use the forums when I feel like it.

I’ve only been here for a short while but I find when I’m chatting to a guy and trying to arrange something it’s just so hard to mesh schedules and make it work. I’ve had to cancel on one poor guy twice now and I feel awful about it and I’m sure he thinks I’m just full of shit but life (and car crashes) happen 😂

So this is why I prefer going to clubs, no having to try and make schedules work etc, you’re just already there 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think using FAB alone makes it difficult - there’s people here for all kinds of connections so finding someone to meet socially is hard.

We get out to socials and clubs and meet people that way too.

There are people who we’ve met from FAB so it’s had its uses but it’s from other sources too that means we’ve been able to meet more people.

I would say too that the site is much more than the forums - so use the whole site for more opportunities to be noticed.

I’ve not had a new meet through Fab for over a year now. I’m suffering with the usual single guy issues of messages being unread, or read but no response.

I’ve been in Liverpool this weekend, listed a hotel meet over a week ago, and did have a woman interested in joining me! We’ve chatted for a few days, then she ghosted me on Tuesday, coming back to me with a story about damaging her back on the rollercoasters at Alton Towers, and Alton Towers wifi blocks Fab so she couldn’t message me……

Chatting with a female Fabster friend, who said she listed a hotel meet a few weeks ago, but had to remove the listing because her inbox went in to meltdown…….

Anyway, nobody else was interested in me…..
