Feeling a bit meh

Its coming up to Dad's anniversary which is the day after Father's Day. Last year it was on Father's Day. I'm feeling a bit meh. Its not fair that his anniversary is so close to Father's Day, I'm currently at the point of doing my food shopping all online because supermarkets are just too difficult to go into.

i know its hard but think of all the good times you had with him. Thats what Fathers day is for and it makes it more significant for you.

go to his favourite place, have his favourite meal. remember him, dont mourn him.

It will be hard specially the first couple of years my dads is on my sisters birthday and we make a point of celebrating it to take our minds off things.

It never goes away but it does get easier with time xx

My mum died a long time ago now .. I was young , and she was young.

It took a while but you get there and it gets easier and you end up replacing the tears with smiles. I promise you that you do.

I still remember - I still cry but you know what its with fondness and loving memories

Big hugs rubes, try to celebrate his life, my dad died almost eight years ago, on fathers day light a candle in his memory. There are times when it floors me, like when my last three grandchildren were born and he didnt get to see them..
