I’ve gone intermittent fasting before.

What worked for me was drinking ice cold water and staying busy/active

sofa surfing....

I have done it for years, 600 calories twice a week Monday and Thursday once you get your head round it, its quite easy first 2-3 weeks can be tough mentally as all you can think of is food and not eating (usually the night before a fasting day) just set yourself up with exactly what you will be eating and then go for it, lots of water does help too, my biggest I was 15 1/2 stone, now about 11st, and vary between11-12st depending on what tim doing hols etc good luck 👍

I ate between 5 and 9.

Did it for 5 days a week and took Friday and Saturday off.

I used to run at the time. Exercise was helpful.

Fasting is great for you and I have done this for years. Your boby is under strain when it constantly needs to process food and fasting also has other amazing health benefits to it to.

I tend to eat just one big healthy meal a day for 5 days and then weekends eat as normal and drink loads of water x

Here, There & Everywhere

I initially used the 16/8 method, but as a diabetic, 16hrs of fasting was too long to keep my blood glucose levels stable. So I adjusted it slightly, to 14/10, and things greatly improved. I fast from 10pm to midday, the next day. I have a main meal at lunchtime and a smaller, lighter meal in the evening (it won't suit everyone, but it's what works best for me). I also only exercise during non-fasting hours. And as others have said, plenty of water is of vital importance. Once you've settled into a routine and your body adjusts, you generally don't feel hungry at all during fasting. But every once in a while, I do feel that hunger and will have a small low-carb or protein snack.

18:6 here. Been doing it for 9 days and I can already feel and see differences!

I’ve not found it difficult… it’s all in the mindset. For me seeing poor blood test results gave me the kickstart I needed.

Fraserburgh

I work offshore so during my 3 week away its easy. I start at 6:30 and have a cup of council coffee with a ginger snap, again at 9:45, semi balanced lunch at 12 - 35 mins on treadmill, coffee and ginger snap at 3:30, coffee and a pink and white wafer + 4 peanut M+Ms at 6:45, planks and treadmill, cup of coffee and 4 M+Ms before shower. I only deviate from.tjst on a Saturday when I have a steak at supper time. Its all in the mind set. Its pretty much fasting just the 100 or so calories each time I have the coffee and ginger snap, but I'm happy with that.

My 3 weeks at home is far more unpredictable. I generally have toast with Vernon Kays quiz at 10:30 and supper at 5 - but, drink comes into play and everything can go to shit
