🍤🥩🫛Ultimate fab menu - initial suggestions🌶🐟🍮

All over

I am attemting to create the ultimate fab menu so seeking the help of you lovely people. (Good but not pretentious food)

First of all I am looking for another judge to join me (pls DM me if you want to be one with a short sentence why I should pick you for that role). I am not looking for chefs just someone who appreciates good food. When everyone has posted on this thread, then the two of us will deliberate and publish a menu of 15 starters, mains and desserts on another thread. In that thread, everyone will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite. The votes will be counted and I will publish the final fab menu of 5 starters, mains and desserts.

So all you need to do for now is to post here the name of a starter, a main and a dessert you would like to see on a fab menu. Thank you.

I know this is rather quick but I am delighted to announce that I now have the other judge - Lancashireredhead.

So, all that everyone has to do for now is to post a starter l, main and dessert they would like to see on the menu.

At the end of this thread when all entries are in, each will be given one of the courses to judge to decide which 15 entries go though to the next stage with myself looking at the overall picture, appropriate mix of dishes so that courses compliment etc. Please keep posting your suggestions. S: Sopa de Lima - a delicate, fragrant soup made from a special kind of lime only found in the Yucatán Peninsula

M: Tacos de cochinita pibil - these tacos are made with freshly ground corn tortillas. D: Marquesitas con Queso de bola- Yucatán has a number of ports that have received trade from Europe for centuries, and there is a large settlement of Dutch immigrants in the state. "When is the results thread, OP ?"

Well ideally would love more suggestions so thread is closed. Then judges deliberate to do the shortlist (15 of each course) to then publish on a new voting thread where every one votes and we end up with 5 choices on the fab menu for each course

Ps might have to put a deadline on this though if not many suggestions worth consideration start coming through.

Can we make more than one menu suggestion if you'd like more? I didn't want to add more than one if you wanted a variety from different people.

"MB mine is very much tongue in cheek so don’t feel like you need to enter it. Yes they’re all real dishes but I was just playing

If you need a judge though I’ll happily help out

No worries and thank you very much. I have the judges in place; _ancashireredhead, Sinister Spinster and Allessandra_B. I just need a few more entries to make their job a little more difficult when they are sorting the shortlist. It's all good fun. "

Did I just read that correctly Head Judge MB? You want to make our jobs "a little more difficult"? 😱

Just kidding. It'll be fun. Bring It On! 🤣

We have 35 entries so far. Deadline is tomorrow 12pm. Keep them coming. Pretend you are gping to a friendly local restsurant. What would you like to see for you to have as a starter, main and dessert. That sort of thing. Go on, give it a go. Thanks

Thank you to everyone who sent suggestions. I appreciate is not a length or girth thread or anything of that nature to excite everyone but you have been great sending these and you certainly excited me. The judges will now do there shortlisting and I will be posting their choices on a new thread when readt for everyone to vote for the final five for each course to go on the menu.

THIS THREAD IS NOW CLOSED
