Does it exist anymore? Is it taught any more? And without googling, can anyone remember any of the rules?

And very few lollipop ladies but many more cars. When I was a kid most cars only had one car that the breadwinner(yep usually dad I'm that old) took it to work so almost all kids walked.

bradford

never cross near parked cars

stop at the kerb, look and listen,

look right and then look left look right again and look left

when safe to cross do so looking left and right

as goes for using it no they dont and adults are far worse for it.

too busy with the heads in there phones or they have head phones on.

it has got to the stage you need car cctv for those that refuse to adhere to the green cross code.

otherwise you can be arrested for no due care

East London

Find a safe space to cross.

Stand back from the kerb.

Look right, look left, look right again.

If it's all clear walk across the road, looking and listening all the time.

Don't run.

Something like that.

Drivers remember to slow down when passing an ice cream van, as kids may run out form behind it.

We had puppets come to our primary school to teach us road safety.

It was fun
