Are tablets any good? On a tight budget so not looking for ipad. I have been looking at the samsung one with 7in screen that £150 at argos? Will need to use with tethering to my phone. Or will i be better off with something like the small msi wind netbook??

little house on the praire

Well im not technically minded, but i wanted a tablet, i read all the reviews and ended up with a nexus 10in, which was £389. But i do here that the kindle fire is a nice peace of equipment and some of the cheaper models of tablets. The only reason i went for the one i did is because im not the sort of person to keep changing stuff so this is to last me a good while

Depends on your use if you want it just for browsing, emails facebook ect then tjere fantastic especially the galaxy tab 2 but if you are in need of heavy typing then I sugest a net book or a tablet netbook hybrid I know you said 150 but have a look at the note 2 lol thats everything in one phone tablet lifesaver lol cant live without mine lol

No disrespect to Diamond, but unless you're planning on doing a lot of reading, forget the Fire HD.

Although it runs on Android, it's setup is heavily biased towards reading, better to get a proper tablet and download the Kindle app if you want to do some reading.

See, theres good and bad for both. The Nexus 7 has high spec (processor wise), the Samsung has expandable storage. Its a little swings and roundabouts, really.

I bought a Nexus 7 - but the reasons I did are a bit (actually a lot) geeky and it suited my needs. Overall, there's not a lot for a user to choose from between the Samsung 7 and the Nexus 7 until you want to start getting under the hood of it all.

Same reason I brought a nexus 7, the geeky stuff lol. Although I'm regretting it slightly because its hot no expandable memory unless I buy accessories for it

I got a short OTG USB Cable for mine, rooted it and dropped CyanogenMod 10 on it.
