Hands up for all the people who don’t want to be described as a stereotype of one sort or another

Be it dad bod, bbw, Sapiophile, mum tum, or any other thing you can think of

I want people to see me as a person without the need for a label

Embrace what makes us us and don’t feel the need for definition

Just my thoughts , inbox open for the normal abuse I get 🤣

I know I talk about race A LOT but I do hate the racial stereotypes I face on here and in other parts of life. And I hate the good or bad ‘shock’ when you don’t live up to them or reflect them.

I’ll be honest though, the dad bod shit I don’t really notice. I don’t think people really care about it on me

But you have labelled yourself in your profile name, as a biker

Hey Biker, I hope you don't receive any abuse.

As for labels, Biker Jack, I don’t know. Sometimes Biker, only sometimes mind, I think that labels can be rather handy. Let you know how someone sees themselves, Biker. It's good, Jack, sorry Biker Jack, when people feel strongly enough about a certain aligning that they want to label.

It's shorthand. Not the full story. Like there's more to a person than their username, isn't there, Biker Jack?

Nope as what type of biker am I ?

Then the stereotype of which type you think I am is on someone else not me

I love the way you always seem to be having a go in the politest of fashions

Maybe I’m originally from Byker and it’s a play on words 🤷🏻

Ah yes, with the famous metal contraption from Byker in your avatar. I'm not having a go, I can't quite take the forums seriously at times (apart from when it comes to abuse - fuck people who send that). The irony of the OP and the username really tickled me and then some.

As far as labels go for me, I like and dislike them. I understand the notion of people not neatly fitting in to a box yet at the same time... they can help tell someone something quickly. I think there are positives and negatives and I wouldn't publicly shun them when I use them in my bio (like poly, frizzy haired ).

Doesn’t really bother me that much what people think of me or how they categorise/describe me, why should it bother me? If you start caring too much what others think it won’t end well.

I don’t mind labels. I probably deserve many of the labels I get. There’s a part of me revelling in my stereotypes.

I'm mostly indifferent towards having my appearance "stereotyped" but I'm not always keen on the assumptions made based off them... feels like expectation and disappointment

That’s how society works though, label things you don’t understand or agree with, that way you get to belittle people and hold the moral high ground

My labels are important to me, personally. 🤷🏻‍♂️ But, when it comes to other people, I do try hard not to make assumptions about theirs. Stereotyping isn't usually helpful or kind.

I’m fine with labels, what I don’t want is to be fetishised because of one

It’s fine to call me curvy, bbw, bitch…. whatever you like but if that’s the only quality you want to know about me then I’m not interested
