Always on the move

In work - yesterday. Disagreed strongly with a senior member of staff. Got a bit of a dressing down for it.

Personal life - also yesterday. Forgotten I was supposed to attend a family thing, mother was not pleased

Fab - not really been told off. But a "left on read" or deleted message is as close to a "get back in your box, fat lad" as I get 😂

I got that telling off look yesterday from my dog, he watched me put all his toys in the washing machine he was ok with it till his fav Geoffrey the Giraffe went in, he then spent most of the day going out into the garden looking at him drying on the line and coming back into the house and huffing at me.

Last night, by my daughter, when I asked her about something that she had literally just told me about.

I don't always hear her properly I'm afraid. I never know whether it's worse to bluff that I've heard her, and try to work it out from context, or say "I beg your pardon, I didn't hear that, could you repeat it?". She gets annoyed, and I get, "Dad! I've just told you that!"/"You didn't hear what I just said, did you?"

This is Karma for all the times in my youth that I got got annoyed with my Mum in the exact same way.

Yesterday by a district nurse. Apparently I put the wrong medication in mother-in-law’s pillbox. I didn’t. I was willing to die on that hill, but I have mellowed so much with age that I barely recognise myself. Took the telling off.
