My great aunt, who passed when I was 11, was born in 1892. My great uncle, who passed when I was 9, was a survivor of the Battle of Delville Wood on the Somme (1st SA Infantry Division suffered 80% casualties holding the Wood). My grandfather was a driver in the invasion of German South West Africa in WW1.
