Sorry for the boring post but I just wanted to ask how has being on Fab affected you?I hope most of you have managed to find what you were looking for or even had the chance to make new friends and good connections with people you can keep in touch with regularly as that's what this site is supposed to be all about isn't it?!

Sadly for me I feel it isn't what it used to be.

Getting fed up of wasting my efforts on too many time wasters and fakes.

When you do find someone you think is genuine to talk to you just ignored or blocked straight away.

Taking some time out away from it all!

Good luck to everyone on here finding what you are looking for as I know it's more difficult for some but for those that are happy with what they've found on fab I hope it continues and you have fun exploring the world of Fab.

I found some early connections that were very formative in shaping my journey and experiences.

I've had highs and lows along the way ... Including an early realization that a large majority of men (#notall) were just picture collectors and I was definitely too naive to understand that ...there are pictures that I would not have sent now I'm older and wiser

Along the way I've formed some trusted friendships and relationships and its also given me both the best and worst moments of my life... But I wouldn't change any of it.

I'm 55 in a few weeks so will probably start to step back a bit - it's really nice seeing some of the newbies finding their feet and bringing a fresh approach

Overall fab has been a really positive experience for me, with a lot of personal growth

I've always said if Fab isn't working for anyone then take a break or leave. Why put time and effort into something that isn't producing the results you desire? Why let something optional get you down or stressed?

I took a break for a few years once, with only the occasional lurk in the forums. Served its purpose and I came back when ready.

Life's too short to spend time focusing on things that don't make you happy. 🤷‍♂️

I've made some great friends through fab in the 9 years I've been here and it has mostly been a positive experience.

I've never had my time wasted or had a no show but I have chatted to people who haven't been as genuine as they pretended to be.

I've had my friendship abused and used to further their climb up the fab ladder by passing my personal details to those they wish to make an impression with.

Real life has always taken priority so for that reason I haven't been meeting for 5 years now but I have become more cynical as time passes due to the words and actions of some who will literally do and say anything to remain relevant.

My husband and I don't really have sex anymore, sometimes we have intimate moments but because of health issues sex doesn't happen. He doesn't mind me meeting other men and in the past he's met other women so I have the option .. however the men normally go silent after sex. I'm not after much but when there's lots of communication before then after they have sex they don't even send a friendly good to meet u.. thanks for last night or anything just silent its left me feeling pretty shit.

I relate to this, when I read a profile I look for that balance of what someone has to offer and their wants too. If it's just a list of wants and donts, the interest fades.

Met some lovely people, had some great laughs, learnt a lot on the forums about the breadth and width of people's views and personalities. That has grounded my perception of life a lot more. I certainly feel better informed and sexually enriched.

Not a boring post at all. I joined fab in the beginning when I read married and soon my wife got involved too. After 7 years we divorced for other reasons.

I had several nets on here and dating sites and met people and loved it.

A few years later I met another lady socially and found her profile on here, so we hooked up and ended up as a couple also with an open relationship.

This lady wanted to party a lot abs eventually it split us amicably.

As I'm much older and fab has changed a lot it's harder to meet now and my priorities in life have changed. But I like the chat, forums etc so I stay around.

On the whole I would say my experience has been really positive. I have met some really lovely people over the years, some from my very early Fab days I still keep in touch with. I’ve had some amazing meets, some suboptimal ones but none I regret (apart from the guy who then became a stalker). The biggest triumph is finding a wing woman who has become a friend and daily check in.

There are of course a handful of time wasters and quite a number of not rights but you just move on. I only stay active until I get bored and then will take a break for a while and come back with a refreshed hunger … and so the cycle begins again.

Speaking as someone who feels unappealing and inadequate all the time, I would politely suggest that fab is merely a facilitator. Get out and go to socials and clubs. Connect with people in the real world who also inhabit fab. Engage in more forums and don't let it get you down when you get ignored.

I get ignored lots on here. Remember, someone will see you, for good or ill, and who knows where it will lead.

Fab has been great for me. It gave me connections with brilliant people as I became more sexually liberated after my first marriage ended. I also met my current husband through Fab and we have been together for almost 9 years, married for nearly a year.

Together we have met lovely people, and enjoyed ourselves greatly. We are not prolific swingers and these days we are not prolific forum users but that's not because we feel Fab has changed greatly, it's more likely that we have changed. In all honesty we hardly have enough spare time to dedicate to Fab.

Fab along with another site help us both get started in the world of swinging some fifteen years ago. We had some great MFM and Couples meets and learnt a lot about ourselves.

As we matured we started to focus on specific things and as time went on we realised it’s not a life to be taken too seriously and to be wide awake to fools, time waster and people who simply shouldn’t be anywhere near this site or swinging.

We have a small number of select friends we can reach out to at home and holidays so we use these platforms less now for meetings.

Overall we have liked the site for how it’s assisted us all these years. We dislike the volume of fools and the how narrow minded many on here can be.

It’s just nice to be part of a community that gets it. There are a few out there that are determined to bring the overall experience down. I’ve had some virtually stalk me, threaten me and also those who try to bring me down a peg 🙄 but to me they’re the tiniest minority and nothing I would take notice of anymore than an annoying fly.

Ive made some true friends via fab, and for that I love it. But even then, it’s just a superfluous part of my social life. Nothing more 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have also met some great people but it’s hard for single guys and now it seems couples too.

We met on here so FAB has completely changed our lives 😍

We’ve also met some amazing people who we will be friends beyond here.

We’ve been to places that we’d never have visited if it wasn’t for FAB.

That said, FAB can completely wear you down. The BS that comes from some people and the deception from some just to meet you is shocking and so it definitely makes you think twice about meeting from here.

Overall though, FAB has been a huge bonus.
