Afternoon all,

we have purchased a new bed and as the missus is a squirter, we’re looking for a comfortable “squirt proof”mattress cover.

Can anyone recommend any?

Thanks in advance

Shower curtains are dirt cheap and washable or disposable . We put one under the bottom sheet and just wash the sheet

You can get mattress protectors on Amazon, they're cheap enough and work. I bought one after my cat peed, I mean squirted, on the bed.

Hotel s are best on top of the duvet- then you’re no Shrek, sleeping in a swamp

Looking for tips on decent protectors as I need a new one. I've given up reading the reviews - tencel, bamboo, heiQ, other cool gel types, just need something that will last and doesn't crumple under you.. no need for waterproof.

I have a mattress protector that you zip your mattress in, it works really well. Look for ones that have vinyl or similar on both sides, not terry cloth as then it becomes a pain in the butt, having to change it all the time. Or do what I did- turn the protector inside out. Sorry, don't remember where I got it from. I also got waterproof dog blanket from Amazon - by the company called "Lesure". They come in different colours and sizes, and have very luxurious feel with absolutely no indication they are dog blankets. Mine has been tested loads, and it's definitely waterproof. I tried the "love blanket" from LoveHoney- they advertise it as double bed sized but it barely covers the width, and comes to about 2/3 of the length.

By the pet waterproof blankets from Amazon, they are the exact same thing as the “squirt” blankets but a quarter of the price. Saves you from ever having to sleep in the wet patch and you don’t have to change your whole bed every time you have fun 😊

Best investments ever!

One of my playmates is like Niagra falls so have some Lynmark pads from amazon, £20, really good and you just sticke them in the wash

My favourite was the hotel on top of the bed, that definitely works.

There was a mattress protector that a friend of mine got for one of her children who was a bed wetter, Viewstar which she got on Amazon. Not sure if it is still there but look for ones with bamboo in it.
